League Scoring Updates for 2018 Season
Handicaps are set at 90% of actual for regular season and 80% of actual for the playoffs based on a rolling 6 week average (Note: Handicaps are locked for the 1st 3 weeks and high and low scores thrown out during weeks 4-6 and then all subsequent weeks). The maximum weekly handicap adjustment up or down will be limited to 1 stroke (There will be no handicap adjustments once the playoffs start). The maximum handicap allowed for A Division players will be 13 and B Division players will be 20. There will be no strokes allotted on par 3's during competition (strokes will be doubled up on the par 4's as needed). There will be 11 points available to be earned each week with 1 point per hole, 1 point for the match and 1 point for attendance (no attendance means no point). You are allowed to use the previous week's score (without the attendance point available) in case of absenteeism but will forfeit all points for each subsequent week of absenteeism. Each player is required to play a minimum of 15 weeks of the regular season or:
A) Make up the round in advance (up to 1 week) of Friday by notifying the League President of such intent and golfing with a League Member
B) Have one of the substitute players golf in your spot
Alternate Games for July 4th and Labor Day Weeks
July 6th 3 Club Tournament: The 3 club tournament is played with the golfer's choice of any 3 clubs in their bag plus a putter . There are no handicaps or sharing of clubs in the 3 club tournament. The low score in each division wins. The tie breaker will be determined by the #1 handicap hole, then #2, etc.
Weekly and Seasonal Pools
Hole in One Pool (Seasonal $10.00) The first Hole In One by any paid participant wins the total pool collected. If there are no winners by the end of regular season there will be a raffle drawing between the paid participants at the Ryder Cup. A Hole in One on the 9th hole wins the Hole in One pool. It would not win the birdie pool.
Ringer Pool (Seasonal $5.00) Each Division will have their own Ringer Pool. Your best score (no handicaps) on each hole over the course of the entire season is recorded and the lowest 9 hole score at the end of the regular season wins. Tie breaker will be decided by the #1 handicap hole, then #2 handicap hole, etc.
Closest to the Pin: (Weekly $3.00) The player who hits his tee shot closest to the pin (must be on green) on holes #4, #7,and #9 alternating weekly will win the total purse collected for the week.
Birdie Pool: (Weekly $2.00) The birdie pool is on hole # 9 and the player who makes a birdie on hole # 9 wins if there are no other birdies forcing a push carryover pot to the next week. Note: This is a birdie pool, not a birdie-or-better pool. Therefore, only a birdie can win the birdie pool. A hole-in-one cannot win the birdie pool. A hole-in-one would win...wait for it...the hole-in-one pool.
